The last September challenge of SOUS is perfect for the pictures of my two hamsters. 

They are very adorable and like to get attention and someting nice to eat. Every time i open the cage (you only see a little part of the cage), they come to collect the tasty things i give them. They are almost 2 years old now. Jilly went ill last week, she cought a cold and was very wheezy. We brought her to the vet and he gave her a little shot. She recovered but is still a little bit slow. The vet also told us, she is pretty old for a hamster. I do hope she'll stay alive for a while.

I used home decor for the swirles and George and basic shapes for the oval. For the names i used Jasmine but because the letters were very thin i decided tho stamp them on the lay-out. It became a little bit messy but as i sponged the borders of the lay-out and the photo's i found it not an issue.

Kung Fu

It has been a long, long time ago but i'm back again! There were many things why i wasn't able to be creative; at first i had to build up my work again after being ill for a half year, than i had to find a new job because of reorganisation and finally i found a new love. He is a great guy and at the start of this month we are living together in my little house. So, live is good again and creativity is starting to grow inside of me.

I checked the blog of  'Stuck On U Sketches' and, as usual, they had another great challenge. See what i made of it: the picture shows my daughter, taking her exam for Kung Fu. She is a wonderfull girl, very sportive and she started doing Kung Fu half a year ago. She passed her exam perfectly. It takes strength, skills and art to do the exercises very well and i'm so proud of here.
It's really fun to be creative again and i'm looking forward to the the next challenge.

Family treasure

Deze Layout is gemaakt voor een de verjaardag van de moeder van een mede-toneelspeelster. Zij wilde haar moeder voor haar verjaardag verrassen met een leuke layout van de kleinkinderen. ik heb haar gevraagd waar haar moeder van houdt: tuinieren, honden, hanen en vooral zilver. Ik ben ermee aan de slag gegaan en dit is de uitkomst.

De gebruikte cards zijn Animal Kingdom, Walk in my Garden, Home Accents en Graphically Speaking.

Heel leuk maar ook best spannend om voor iemand die je niet kent iets te maken.

I made this LO for the mothers birthday of one of my theatre colleages. She wanted to surprise her mother with a cute LO of her grandchildren. I asked her what her mother liked (dogs, roosters, gardening and especially silver) and this is what came out.

The cards used are: Animal Kingdom, Walk in my Garden, Home Accents and Graphically Speaking.

I found it very nice and exciting to make something for someone you don't know.

Omdat dat voor mijn foto's beter uitkwam heb ik de layout in spiegelbeeld gemaakt

Because of my pics i flips the layout

Deze foto's zijn gemaakt op de kleuterschool. Ik zal daar dus ongeveer 4 jaar oud zijn geweest.

Daar was ik al een groot fan van boeken en lezen. Dat is nooit meer overgegaan.

Toen waren het sprookjesboeken en nu zijn t fantastische epossen. Dus de titel "once upon a time" geldt nog steeds...

Je kan het niet zo goed zien maar bij alle cuts heb ik de randen met kleurpotlood bewerkt voor meer diepte. Het was zo leuk om aan deze layout te werken, allerlei nostalgische gedachten passeerden de revue.

These pics were made in Kindergarten. I must have been about 4 years old. Even than i loved books and reading and that never stopt.

Back than storybooks were my favorite and now fantastic epics. So the title of the layout is still valid...

You can't see it very well but all the borders of the cuts are pencil colored for more dept.

It was so much fun to make this layout, all kind of nostalgic memories passed my mind.

Little princess

De opdracht van deze week was de opgegeven Layout met gebruik van rood en/of roze.

Dan denk ik gelijk aan mijn overbuurmeisje. Alles aan haar is roze, zelfs haar fietsje.

Naast roze heeft ze nog een voorliefde: katten.

Iedere keer dat ze me ziet komt ze heel lief vragen of ze alsjeblieft héél even de poezen mag komen aaien. Bij een zo'n aaisessie heb ik deze foto's gemaakt.  Ik kon niet kiezen welke ik zou gebruiken, dus maar een dubbel-layout.

This week the challenge says scetch with red and/ore pink.

My next door neighbor girl is complete pink, even here little bike.

Besides pink she has an other love: cats. Every time she sees me, she asks me very nicely if she can come over to pet my two cats. One time i made these pix and because i could'nt choose which i should use, i simple made this double LO.

De swirl en de letters zijn gemaakt met "Storybook"

Voor de bloemen van vilt heb ik eerst malletjes gemaakt met "George" en ze daarna met de hand uitgeknipt.

For the florishes of velt i made molds with "George" and cut them out by hand.

de Koppelaarster, The Matchmaker

In 2005 besloot ik dat ik mee wilde spelen in het toneelstuk van de toneelvereninging waar ik al een aantal jaar lid van was. Ik deed vanalles, behalve spelen. Ik vroeg de regiseuse of ze misschien een kleine rol voor me had en ik deed auditie. Wonder boven wonder kreeg ik de hoofdrol: Dolly in "de Koppelaarster". Het was hard oefenen maar vooral zo ontzettend leuk om te doen. Nadien was ik verslaafd. Vanaf toen heb ik in ieder stuk meegespeeld en ieder jaar weer met evenveel plezier. Ik hoop t nog lang te kunnen doen.

in 2005 i decided i would participate in the next play of my drama club. I asked the director if she would have a small role. I had to do an audition and wonder, oh wonder, i got the main part: 'Dolly' in 'the Matchmaker' after the musical 'Hello Dolly'. It was a super play and we had such a good time. After that year i played every year and still have lots of fun.

New born calf

2007 Corèze, Frankrijk.

In de middle of nowhere in een wei, stonden wat koeien afgezonderd.

Het bleek dat eentje net een kalfje gebaard had, zomaar, zonder hulp. Er was geen levende ziel in de buurt.

Ze was bijgestaan door wat 'zusters'

Even later hielp ze haar kalfje voor de eerste keer opstaan.

Zo bijzonder om dat van dichtbij mee te mogen maken.

2007 Corèze, France

In the middle of nowhere, in a pasture, with nobody arround, some cows stood a bit separated.

One of them just gave birth to a calf. Only some 'sisters' were there to support her.

After a while she helped her baby to stand up.

It was so special to watch such a beautiful occacion, co close by.

Sketch 29th challenge SOUS

De sketch van SOUS gebruikt voor deze Layout.

De vogels op de foto's zijn de eerste die mijn nog niet aangelegde tuin bezoeken. Het is zo leuk te weten dat als straks in t voorjaar de tuin is aangelegd, er nog veel meer zullen komen.

The birds on these pic's are the first who came to visit my totally stripped garden.

It's fun to know that there will be much more birds when i'll have planted all the new plants in spring.

Hier nog een aanblik van alle verhogingen die gemaakt zijn.

Ik heb de cards Stretch your imagination, Home Decor en Greorge en basic shapes gebruikt. De bruine ondergrond van de vogels en de sneeuwvlokkenrand is met de hand uitgeknipt.

I used the cards Stretch your imagination, Home Decor en Greorge and basic shapes. The brown layer of the birds and the snowflake border is cut out by hand.

Dit is Guus, een van mijn twee katten, nu bijna 9 maanden oud.

Ze kunnen samen heel wat kattekwaad uithalen maar zijn zo vreselijk lief als ze slapen.

De hartjesrand is gemaakt met Love struck. Omdat deze nog niet in DS zit heb ik de boven en onderlaag 2x moeten snijden en iets moeten aanpassen om ze goed in elkaar te laten vallen. De muizenborder is gemaakt met Animal Kingdom en de letters met Cursive 101 en Storybook.

Thogether they can make a mess but they are so sweet when they are sleeping.

The heartborder is made with Love Struck. I had to cut both upper and lower part two times and adjust a little to make them fit together. The mice border is made with Animal Kingdom and the alpha's with Cursive 101 and Storybook.

Pretty old lady

Deze auto is de droom van een goede vriend, vorig jaar gekocht.

En omdat de auto van mijn bouwjaar is, heeft hij m ook maar naar mij vernoemd. 

Ik vond er echt een stoere layout bij passen.

De letters en swirls zijn met DS, Jasmine en Home Decor gemaakt

This is the dreamcar of a dear friend which he bought last year.

And because she is of the same year of build as i am, he named her after me.

I just had to make a very cool layout for it.
